How to Make a Fabric Hotpot
A fabric hotpot is a soft and heat-resistant bowl holder used to place hot dishes safely on the table. It looks nice and protects your hands and surfaces. Here’s how to make one easily.
Materials Needed
-
Thick cotton fabric (2 pieces)
-
Heat-resistant batting / foam sheet / thick felt
-
Needle and thread or sewing machine
-
Scissors
-
Pins (optional)
Steps
-
Cut the Fabric and Batting
Cut two same-size squares of fabric and one piece of batting (same size). A good size is 10 x 10 inches. -
Layer Them
Place one fabric piece face down, batting in the middle, and the second fabric piece face up. Pin to hold. -
Sew Around
Sew around the edges, leaving a small opening. -
Turn Inside Out
Turn the piece inside out through the open gap. -
Stitch the Gap Closed
Sew the small opening neatly. -
Shape It (Optional)
Fold the fabric lightly in four and stitch small corners to create bowl-like shaping.
Your fabric hotpot is ready — stylish, washable, and useful for daily kitchen work.
